Ciliwung Rivulet located in Mangga Dua Selatan Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, started to be normalized. Normalization itself takes 800 meters with 10 meters width is targeted to be complete in the upcoming March.
Head of Jakarta Water Management Department, Teguh Hendrawan said, normalization is carried out to restore function of Ciliwung. This is because the rivulet is full of mud and trash.

He added, as many as four heavy equipments are deployed to dredge the river up to 3 meters depth. Additionally, part of river's sheet pile will also be repaired.
