Fire gutted a fish cooler warehouse belongs to PT Artha Mitama on Jalan Cumi Raya, Muara Baru Fishery Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Friday (4/11). The fire originated from welding sparks which quickly grabbed boxes filled with fish. After fighting for three hours, North Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department finally extinguished the fire.

According to Platoon Commander of Penjaringan Sub-District Group B, Dede Budi, at around 10.30 AM before fire happened, the workers were welding around the location. Allegedly careless, the welding sparks then grabbed the boxes filled with fish.

To put out the fire, 60 firemen from North Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department and Penjaringan Sub-District Section were deployed.
