Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, uttered Kalijodo arrangement has been planned since 2014 ago. In fact, the plan was postponed since Jakarta Provincial Government focused on Pluit Reservoir and Kampung Pulo relocation.

He added that he gets suggestion to arrange the area in stages to minimize resistance. Now Pluit Reservoir is finish and ready to arrange other areas.

Previously, Jakarta Provincial Government arranged Kampung Pulo because of Ciliwung River normalization project. The residents were relocated to Jatinegara Barat flat.

“Kalijodo is not about prostitution. I have to take back the government’s land for green open space. Prostitution in Kalijodo is our second problem,” he added.
