LED Lamp in Jakarta Equipped with Smart System

Thousands of lamps type Light Emitting Diode (LED) for street light will be installed gradually in the entire road of Jakarta. Its installation is to minimize crime case, especially at night.

Its lighting is also maximal and can be set through smart system. We'll install it on protocol road and artery road until neighborhood road

Syamsul Bahri, Head of Lighting Section for Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept disclosed that LED is highly-efficient lamps. It can last up until 50,000 hours or 12 years. 

"Its lighting is also maximal and can be set through smart system. We'll install it on protocol road and artery road until neighborhood road," he expressed, when he reviewed street light condition at Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Friday (2/19).

1,488 LED Lamps Installed in KBT

According to him, since it was installed with 308 lamps with smart system, road user activity can remain comfortable when passing Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya at night. 

"Totally, we already install 1,400 units in Gunung Sahari, Jalan Juanda, and Jalan Vetaran. It is pretty maximal at night," he told.

But for lighting at some points, is unoptimal due to covered by shady tree. Among of them are Jalan Pemuda, Istiqlal area and other roads in South Jakarta. "Hopefully, related unit to immediately fix it. Because it makes the place look vulnerable to criminal," he uttered.
