Biopori Hole in Tidung Island Added

The ranks of Tidung Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands are adding 21 biopori holes in RT 01/04. It aims to prevent inundation when rain pours.

"We add 21 points of biopori hole. And this is very effective to absorb and reduce inundation," said Head of Tidung Islands Urban Village, Surahman, Thursday (2/25).

Nine Inundation Locations in South Jakarta

He added, besides biopori hole, his side also installed an eight-inch pipe for water channel in citizen residential that located in the highlands.

"We derived the highlands, thus it does not interfere with road user and water can flow smoothly, as well as put the manholes at every bend in the road," he finished.
