Several water channels have been cleaned by PPSU personnel, while Dept. of Water Management finishes channel on roadside. “We keep digging, as well as the road crossing,” he added.

Basuki requested Dept. of Water Management to prepare all water pumps. Pumps are needed to recede floodwater.

“Pump is also important part in flood handling,” he stated.

As the long-term plan, Jakarta Provincial Government is about to build dike in northern beach. Tidal wave also often to hit northern Jakarta.
