Tempat Sampah di BKT Banyak yang Hilang

Many Garbage Bins in KBT Are Missing

Garbage bins that were previously spread in East Flood Canal (KBT) area, East Jakarta are missing or stolen and have not been replaced with new ones. No wonder, people had to throw garbage haphazardly, especially in afternoon and at night.

I think it is due to low monitoring from related unit

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, the missing bins are stretching from Cipinang Besar Selatan (CBS), Jatinegara until Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, or near bus stop, precisely at Jalan KBT.

Abas, (40), a citizen of Cipinang Muara, stated the bins should be maintained, but stolen. Consequently, many people throw garbage to KBT.

"I think it is due to low monitoring from related unit," he stated, Monday (2/29).

When being confirmed, Head of East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-dept, Budi Mulyanto justified that the bins could not be replaced due to lack of budget.

"Indeed, many bins were missing, but we cannot replace them due to lack of budget," he stressed.
