Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama praised the commitment of apparatus to remain guard Kalijodo. Residents would occupy the land if the area is not guarded.

"City police and Pangdam Jaya have commitment to guard Kalijodo. We appreaciate that," he said, Tuesday (3/1).

The 1.5 hectare land will be constructed for park with several facilities such as soccer field, jogging track, and so on.

As reported before, Jakarta Provincial Government demolished buildings in Kalijodo because of occupied green lane. Other buildings above green open space would be demolished also.
