Palem Connecting Channel Dredging Project Neglected

Residents of Tugu Utara Urban Village, Koja, North Jakarta questioned about the continuation of Palem connecting channel dredging project. It is because the project was stopped since January and still no sign to be continued.
We hope related agency would continued the project since our area is prone to flood
RW 06 headman, Dodi, admitted his area is prone to flood during rainy season. Dredging project worked by local water management sub-department was only up to Taman Mangga from Jalan Mahoni. It is only 300 meter.
In fact, channel’s total length is one kilometer. 700 meter channel dredging project is neglected.
Connecting Channel on Jalan Kesehatan Dredged“We hope related agency would continued the project since our area is prone to flood,” he said.
Nandang Hidayat, Tugu Utara Urban Village, said residents have requested to finish the dredging project. His side will coordinate with local water management sub-department to finish the remaining project.
“It is hoped the request can be responded well,” he said.
