Fire on Jalan Batok Finally Controlled after 5 Hours

As reported earlier, fire destroyed a waste-plastic plant factory belongs to PT Cipto Plastindo on Jalan Batok, Prebedan Dalam, RT 10/09, Kamal Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-District, West Jakarta, Monday (4/14). After fighting for five hours, firemen finally managed to control the flames. There is no casualty in the incident, but the loss reaches hundreds of millions rupiah.

Head of West Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department Operational Section, Abdul Wahid, stated that fire is successfully extinguished after 27 fire trucks deployed.

“Initially, we only sent 23 fire trucks to the scene. But since the fire spread to six rented houses, we immediately added fire trucks to 27 units to prevent the fire from spreading to other locations,” he explained.

Fire Destroys Plastic Factory in Kalideres

According to Sarman (48), a local, the cause of the fire was triggered by electricity short-circuit from employees’ dorm.

Meanwhile, Kamal Urban Village Head, Joko Mulyono, told that fire also burned six rented houses near the factory.
