Posisi Bangku Transjakarta Segera Diubah

Sitting Position of Transjakarta will Be Changed

Jakarta Transportation Dept will change the sitting position of Transjakarta bus in order to give convenience for passenger, especially woman.

The sitting position will be changed facing forward, this is just matter of convenience in public transportation

"The sitting position will be changed facing forward, this is just matter of convenience in public transportation," said Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Wednesday (3/9).

After passing through calculation process, the number of passenger with the new sitting position is not different significantly with the current seat position. But it can add convenience in the bus.

Metromini and Transjakarta Integration Ripened

"We calculate with standing and sitting position is reaching 70 people. Then for facing forward, its number is reaching 60 people. This only differs slightly," he stated.

Similar concept would also be set in Kopaja bus which is currently integrated into transkopaja bus. They have also been asked to gradually change the position of sitting in the bus.

"Minimally, the bus should be rejuvenated and continued with change in sitting position," he said.
