Flash Flood Hits Houses in Bidara Cina

Due to overflowing waters of Ciliwung River, a 40-cm high flood has been soaking citizen residential, RW 11 Bidara Cina, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday (3/10). This happens at around 2 AM.

At 4 AM, flood had touched one meter. But at 6 AM, it has receded gradually

Dodo, (45), one of citizens, RT 10/11 Bidara Cina expressed, water level was initially between 40-100 centimeters and receded gradually at 6 AM. Until 11 PM, it reaches 40 centimeters.

"At 4 AM, flood had touched one meter. But at 6 AM, it has receded gradually," he expressed.

East Jakarta Prepares Personnel at Prone to Flood Areas

According to him, such residential is located at RT 12, 06, 13, 10/RW 11 Bidara Cina. It is predicted to hit 200 homes. But, so far, there has been no evacuation.

"The current flood quickly recedes than previous years. Previously, it could take for weeks," he admitted.

He added it disturbs citizen activities. Especially those who want to go to school, work, campus and trade. Luckily, they have one rubber boat as alternative transportation.
