The southern water channel on Jalan Raya Pluit Selatan, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta is full with mud. Wild plants also grows along the channel.
Rain brought the mud from empty land to the channel. We’ll clean it soon
Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, dry mud almost covers all channel part along 200 meter.
Pluit Urban Village Head, Purnomo, admitted his side had cleaned the channel. An empty land near the channel is allegedly causing channel full with mud.
Crossing on Jalan TB Simatupang Dredged“Rain brought the mud from empty land to the channel. We’ll clean it soon,” he said, Thursday (2/10).
According to him, channel dredging would be also applied for other channels to smooth water flow during rainy season.
