Pluit Urban Village tries to add more garbage bank in order to decrease garbage volume which reaches 250 tons per day.
Now we have five garbage banks
Purnomo, Pluit Urban Village Head, admitted previously the area had no garbage bank. Since December 2015, based on North Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi’s instruction, he invited residents to establish garbage bank.
“Now we have five garbage banks,” he said, Monday (3/14).
City Targeting to Have 1,500 Garbage BanksThose five garbage banks are in RW 01, 11, 20, 21 and Pluit Urban Village Office yard. He plans to establish more banks in every RW.
“Garbage banks are able to boost resident’s income and decrease garbage volume,” he added.
