Besides buyer, such price hike is also complained by trader. It will automatically reduce their earning, because many buyers limit their shopping.

He assessed, it is due to pepper plants that have been attacked by patek pest. It makes its leaves wither and dry up. As a result, many farmers cannot harvest and it leads to the decline in the supply of goods to Kramat Jati Market.

Mutmainah, (40), one of buyers admitted, she was unhappy with chili price hike. She had to resell her shopping to the consumers. This woman sells chili in her stall in Kebon Sayur Kebon Nanas area.

"If the price is expensive, we also confuse who to sell it back to the people. Many buyers limit their shopping. I hope this condition could be normal soon," she hoped.
