Illegal Billboard Along Jalan Gajah Mada Controlled Soon

Jakarta Satpol PP will immediately control illegal billboards along Olimo Bridge, Jalan Gajah Mada, Taman Sari, West Jakarta. Related this matter, the regional working unit (SKPD) will conduct coordination meeting next week.

Jakarta Satpol PP Chief, Jupan Royter said, his side will coordinate with SKPD related to llegal billboard raid. Its existence violated Gubernatorial Regulation No. 244/2015 on Implementation Guidelines for the Implementation of Advertising. Because the billboard is prohibited to be installed along Jalan Gajah Mada.

"I have contacted City Facility Section Head. Yesterday, we also did internal meeting with Satpol PP. I say don't try play with us as bylaw enforcement. We will control illegal billboard soon," he stated, when being interviewed by Beritajakarta.com, Saturday (3/19).

He told SKPDs that will attend in the coordination meeting are  One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) and Spatial Planning Dept. "If the billboard has not license, just remove it," he stressed.

As known, the illegal billboards measuring about 50 square meters installed around Olimo Bridge, Jalan Gajah Mada, Taman Sari Sub-district, West Jakarta. Allegedly, it ad containing one coffee products worth hundreds of millions rupiah has been established around two until three weeks ago.

Whereas, Gubernatorial No. 244/2016 will become effective on January 1, 2016. A number of protocol roads are under strict control regarding billboard. Its installation is only allowed to be installed on building's wall.
