City Wants Taxi Companies to Punish Anarchic Taxi Driver

Jakarta Transportation Dept, sent a letter to 34 taxi companies that operate in Jakarta to immediately punish their employees who joined in anarchy action during demonstration regarding online ojek yesterday. 

Transportation Dept Head has already signed a sanction letter against anarchic taxi drivers and have been sent to each operator

Jakarta Transportation Dept Deputy Head, Sunardi Sinaga disclosed taxi company was asked to strictly process and fire taxi driver involved in the destruction of public transport and urban infrastructure.

60 Online Ojek Riders Secured

"Transportation Dept Head has already signed a sanction letter against anarchic taxi drivers and have been sent to each operator," he told, Tuesday (3/22). 

If it is ignored, strict sanction will be given, that is by revoking taxi business.

"Indeed, there was no sweeping in earlier agreement. It is very disturbing public. This is state law. We instruct the police to uncover this case," he finished.
