Jakarta Dept. of Education noted that of 1,708 school buildings in Jakarta, 885 buildings are unfeasible. The rest needs for total, heavy and medium renovation.

“47 percent of unfeasible school buildings need renovation. 156 of them have been renovated,” said Sopan Adrianto, Jakarta Head Dept. of Education, Monday (3/28).
Besides already deciding which buildings to be renovated, Jakarta Provincial Government is also about to renovate 627 school buildings in 2017. Budget needed for this project is Rp 3,065,496,318,968.
156 Unfeasible Schools to Be RenovatedBased on 2017 working program sheet, there are 133 total renovation projects with total budget Rp 1,997,527,046,508, 357 heavy renovation with total budget Rp 924,457,537,000, and 137 medium renovation projects by Rp 125,511,735,460.
“If this project is done, our side will improve the education quality to face the global world,” he added.
