Almost one month, hundreds of animal spread rabies in some islands have been vaccinated by Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept gradually.

"We are still monitoring and giving vaccination to animals spread rabies. Today, we do it in Harapan Island," expressed Sutrisno, Head of Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept, Tuesday (3/29).

According to him, the officer has done sweeping and conducted vaccination in Panggang Island. Previously, it was conducted in Pramuka, Tidung, Payung and Sebira islands. Post-vaccination, the next step is certification phase in the island towards pet birds.

"Post-vaccination, certification will be given to pet birds such as chirping birds, ayam kate (short-legged Bantam chicken) and others," he stated.

From temporary data, until end of March, 419 cats and 6 dogs have been vaccinated.
