Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, asked related units to empower poor flat occupants who unable to pay the retribution. It is responding about 33 households occupying Jatinegara Barat flat are unable paying monthly retribution.

“Related units could prepare business area and capital. Distance is not a problem since riding Transjakarta bus is free,” he said, Monday (4/4).

According to him, poor flat occupants could be recruited as freelancers cleaning flat. Basuki admitted many freelancers were recruited from outside Jakarta.

They could be also recruited to clean Transjakarta.

“Flat is an incubator, we’ll tighten the occupants. Parking lot is also limited for business area,” he added.
