259 Students Not Attend in First Exam

Jakarta Education Dept Secretary, Susie Nurhati announced that around 259 students at SMA level in Jakarta did not sit the first day of national exams. This is because they are illness, ask for permission and absent without explanation. 

Most falls on Indonesian from total 1,159 schools and 122,503 students, comprising 138 students are illness, 12 students ask for permission and 80 others are absent

Nurhati disclosed, there should be 122,503 students from 1,156 schools sit the exam with four subjects, such as Indonesian, Geography, Chemistry and Hadith. In fact, hundreds of students did not attend.

"Most falls on Indonesian from total 1,159 schools and 122,503 students, comprising 138 students are illness, 12 students ask for permission and 80 others are absent," she detailed, Monday (4/4).

As for Geography from 220 schools with 8,511 students, 16 students are illness and 9 others are absent. Then Chemistry from 165 schools and 5,382 students, 1 student is illness and 3 others are absent.

"While for Hadith, from 8 schools with 186 students, all students attend and undergo the exam," she finished.
