Internet Network in Seribu Islands will Be Increased Up to 10 Mbps

Due to inadequate internet network, Seribu Islands Communication, Informatic and Public Relation Sub-dept explains the computer-based national exam cannot be applied in SMAN 69 Pulau Pramuka, North Seribu Islands yet.

"Internet network in whole school will be improved to hold computer-based exam up to 10 Mbps for 24 computers. If it is still unoptimal in next year, we will do the same," expressed, Bandok Eko Priambodho, Head of Seribu Islands Communication, Informatic and Public Relation Sub-dept, Wednesday (4/6).

According to him, to increase network bandwidth next year, the local government proposed a budget of Rp 800 million or an increase of approximately Rp 100 million from last year, including for the improvement of the existing network infrastructure in the islands.

"Because we have management bandwidth, each location we can set quickly. So every unit that has immediate needs we can do it directly," he stated.

He hoped, next year, internet network could reach more than 110 Mbps thus all service and education needs can be facilitated.
