Central Jakarta PN to Execute Saint Mary College Tomorrow

Hundreds of students of Saint Mary Secretarial College (LPK) are threatened to fail following Mid-Term Test (UTS) that is being held this month. The reason is because the college building, which located on Jalan AM Sangaji No. 6, Petojo Utara Urban Village, Gambir Sub-District, Central Jakarta, will be executed by Central Jakarta State Court tomorrow, Wednesday (4/23).

Head of Saint Mary LPK Student Executive Board (BEM), Mariska Fendjlan (19), asks the court to stop the execution process of their college building because the students are currently in the middle of UTS which scheduled finish on Friday (4/25).
“From Monday (4/14), we are still in UTS period. On Wednesday (4/16), the UTS was pending due to Easter. We should start again on Thursday (4/24), but it is postponed because of this problem,” she said to reporters in her college, Tuesday (4/22).
This semester II student is upset with Central Jakarta PN that seems do not care of the fate of hundreds of students learning there. Thus, the students will hold demonstration to block the execution if it is carried out tomorrow.
“ We will hold demonstration in front of the campus tomorrow. The students want to guard the campus from being executed ,” she asserted.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of Saint Mary Foundation, Ikraman Thalib, admitted that his party has met Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama (Ahok) at the City Hall today. In that meeting, it was told that Jakarta Provincial Government cannot do much since the matter has been processed legally.
“In the meeting this morning, Mr. Ahok said that it (this problem) is not his main tasks and roles (tupoksi). We were advised to bring the evidence to the court since this matter has been processed legally,” he uttered.
