Around 15 officers of Duren Sawit Sub-district Satpol PP, did raid against street vendor (PKL) on the south side of East Flood Canal (KBT), Jalan Pahlawan Revolusi and Jalan Inspeksi Kalimalang, Thursday (4/14). 

The raid is conducted because street vendor opens stall on the sidewalk and water channel

Duren Sawit Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Andik Sukaryanto disclosed, from three locations, the officer managed to secure teen of shanties. They are carts, tables, benches and tents. Even, one compressor belongs to a tire repairman in KBT was also seized from the raid.

"The raid is conducted because street vendor opens shanties on the sidewalk and water channel. Whereas, they have been controlled, but they are still desperate," he told.

From the raid, the stall debris then transported by one truck and will be burned at Cakung warehouse. As for the compressor, is sent to the sub-district office.

His side will keep controlling on illegal stalls in forbidden areas in the future.
