Water Management Agency Prepares Puddle Handling

Puddle occurred in South Jakarta last night, Tuesday (4/19) were spotted at 10 areas. Mostly the puddle were caused by overflowing of Krukut river. Jakarta Dept. of Water Management has prepared program to overcome this matter.

“Some areas are in lower geographical. Then it added with overflowing of Krukut river. Puddle height was 20-100 cm,” said Purwanti, Jakarta Head Unit of Data and Information for Dept. of Water Management, Wednesday (4/20).

Flood on Jalan Sepat 1, Kebagusan RT 01/007 was caused by heavy rain. Pulo connecting channel was unable to accommodate water. “We dredged the channel and prepared mobile pump,” he added.

Inundation on Jl Wijaya Timur Raya Receded

In Kemang Selatan, puddle was caused by overflowing of Krukut river which has no sheet pile. Sheet pile project should be run by Ministry of Public Housing and Public Works.

Meanwhile, puddle at Kebagusan, Pasar Minggu, and Jatipadang has receded this morning. It was caused by overflowing of Pulo connecting channel and many buildings above the channel.
