100 IKMs Proposed for Halal Certificate & HKI

To give the expansion of marketing network for small and medium enterprises (IKM), Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept will facilitate the registration of halal certification and registration proof over intellectual property rights (HKI) for IKM.

"This year, we propose 100 IKMs to get the certificate," expressed Head of Industry Section for Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept, Edward Napitupulu, Wednesday (4/20).
Later on, they will be facilitated in registration process in the Indonesian Ulema Council Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics (LPPOM MUI). It is hoped the IKM product would be sterile from dangerous food thus it can have its own market share.

While some requirements for IKM, are must have domestic industry license and other documents about their business. Thus the LPPOM MUI itself can easily check and issue the license.
