Slum, 15 Semi-Permanent Buildings in Tebet Barat Controlled

As many as 15 semi-permanent buildings standing on the waste disposal site (TPS), Tebet Barat Urban Village, Jl Tebet Barat Raya, controlled by tens of Tebet Sub-district Satpol PP personnel. They have been existed more than last three months.

Head of Tebet Sub-district Satpol PP, Mika Darwin disclosed those buildings are complained due to slums. On the other hand, the land will be transformed into a Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA).

"Waste in the disposal site is from outside of Jakarta. We actually have done socialization from urban village apparatus," he stated, Wednesday (4/20).

Darwin continued, during controlling, the building owner was cooperative enough. Some prefer to return to hometown and the rest prefer to stay in their relatives' houses in Jakarta.

"We sent two trucks to transport building material debris to be brought to the Kebayoran Lama Warehouse," he finished.
