This Week, Illegal Parking on Jl Raya Menceng Dismantled

Hundreds of illegal buildings along Jl Raya Menceng, Tegal Alur, Kalideres, will be dismantled this week. Eventually, the land belongs to the city administration as long as 1.5 kilometers with 18 meters wide would be used for road widening.

Mayor of West Jakarta, Anas Effendi disclosed that has submitted the plan to Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama on Monday (4/25). He assessed, the governor also has approved it.

"In executive meeting (rapim), Mr. Governor has approved our dismantling plan against illegal building on Jalan Raya Menceng," he stated, Monday (4/25) afternoon.

He furthered that socialization was been done. Even, dismantling warrant was also sent to the building owner last Friday (4/22). There is no compensation because the owner has stayed on the government land that was acquired in 1970.

"Such land is designated for road widening. Currently, it only leaves 6 meters become 24 meters with 1.5 kilometers long," he finished.
