Greater Jakarta Tansjakarta Targeted to Serve 25,000 Passengers

As reported earlier, PT Transjakarta launched the new route, Jakarta-Bekasi a few days ago. Along two weeks ago ahead, it is targeted to serve more than 25,000 passengers.

We operate five fleets in each route. And we will see the result tonight. If it is success, we will add twofold and threefold in the day after tomorrow

PT Transjakarta Operational Director, Daud Yoseph disclosed that target could be achieved in two weeks ahead, as long as the number of Transjakarta fleet is added up and its headway only takes 10-15 minutes.

Transjakarta to Serve Jakarta-Serpong This May

"We operate five fleets in each route. And we will see the result tonight. If it is success, we will add twofold and threefold in the day after tomorrow," he stated, Monday (4/25).

According to him, such route is dense. The passenger is a lot than other regions. Just because this is still a test, many people do not yet know.

He believes, with passengers today, they will automatically help socialization to other residents who do not know. Thus the next day, the number of passengers will increase.

Director of PT Transjakarta, Budi Kaliwono added, to achieve the target of 25,000 passengers, it could be achieved, as long as at least 50 buses operating on each route. 

"With 5 buses, it will not achieve. Minimally, we operate 50 buses and target can be achieved by the end of May," he finished.
