12 Illegal Buildings Demolished in Kapuk Muara

As many as 12 illegal buildings used as small business on Jalan SMPN 122, Kapuk Muara Urban Village, North Jakarta were controlled by joint personnel. Those buildings have standing above water channel for years.
Illegal buildings have blocked the channel from RW 03 and 05
Tahta Yujang, Kapuk Muara Urban Village, said warning and demolition letters have been given to buildings owners. North Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management will normalize the channel.
“Illegal buildings have blocked the channel from RW 03 and 05. The surrounding areas are often flooded during rain or tidal wave,” he said, Thursday (4/28).
Channel on Jalan Pademangan IV CleanedRelated unit directly dredged the channel after the demolition. The effort is aimed to smoothen water flow into Kali Vila Kapuk Mas.
About 30 joint personnel from Satpol PP, freelancer, Sub-dept. of Water Management, and PPSU were deployed.
