Jokowi: Land Acquisition Must Not Harm Residents!

Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the construction of Brigif Reservoir as wide as 10.3 hectares on Jalan Aselih, Cipedak Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-District, South Jakarta, has been built as wide as 6.6 hectares. The rest of the land is still in land acquisition process that uses Tax Object Sales Value (NJOP) applied in that area.

Socialization will be done. One thing for sure is that the residents must not be harmed. If anyone wanted to protest, say it to me

β€œThe compensation has been done. Others still need socialization and face to face meeting,” he told, Thursday (4/24).

According to Jokowi, Jakarta Provincial Government will keep doing socialization on land acquisition to local residents. Meeting will be held, not just once, but several times.

Brigif Reservoir in South Jakarta Built as Flood Mitigation

β€œSocialization will be done. One thing for sure is that the residents must not be harmed. If anyone wanted to protest, say it to me, and it will begin again in May,” he stated.

As reported previously, Jakarta Provincial Government has started the construction of Brigif Reservoir which will be used to accommodate water and control water debit flowing from Bogor and Depok to Jakarta.
