17 Toddlers in C. Jakarta Suffer from Malnutrition

The malnutrition case against toddler is detected again in Jakarta, especially in Central Jakarta. There are 17 toddlers suffering from malnutrition with an average age of two and older

"Malnutrition in Central Jakarta is not pure, but there are also some diseases such as TBC, Ispa and diarrhea," said Yuditha Endah Prihmaningtyas, Head of Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept, Wednesday (5/11).

Endah explained 17 malnutrition cases are almost spread in all sub-districts in Central Jakarta. At this time, the patients have been brought to the hospital.

"The case is detected in Kemayoran, Johar Baru, Cempaka Putih, Senen, Gambir and Tanah Abang," she expressed.

According to her, recovery process takes a long time, and the role of parents as to maintain the dietary habit and health of their toddlers is very important.

"I also hope the mothers routinely bring their toddlers to check up in posyandu once a month for weighing or vitamins and do not be embarrassed to ask or consultation if you have a toddler with symptoms of malnutrition," she disclosed.
