As many as 10 illegal buildings along Jalan Kejayaan Belakang V, Krukut Urban Village, Tamansari, West Jakarta, Thursday (5/12), were demolished. Those buildings are standing above water channel.
The demolition is based on citizens’ report
Joko Mulyono, Krukut Urban Village Head, admitted his side has demolished several buildings such as workshop, food stall, and so on.
“The demolition is based on citizens’ report. The buildings must be demolished since the owners failed to fulfill their promise of demolishing building by themselves,” he said.
Illegal Building Under Tangki Railway DemolishedPost the demolition, his side will deploy PPSU personnel to dredge the channel. It is hoped the channel could be functioned well.
“Our hope is channel could flow the water smoothly and no puddle during rainy season,” he added.
