Historical Sites in Pasar Ikan Restored

Jakarta Provincial has involved archeologist from Indonesia University to restore historical sites in Pasar Ikan. Later on, the sites will be restored according to its original shape.The restoration must be run carefully.

During the digging, historical sites were found such as castle, door, and bridge.

According to him, the restoration should be done to its original shape in Netherlands’ period. The area was used by VOC as a warehouse. In order to restore the sites, local residents have been relocated to Rawa Bebek and Marunda flat.
