Fire destroys hundreds homes in RW 002, Krukut, Taman Sari, that occupied by 800 people today, Monday (5/16). Allegedly, it is triggered by electricity short-circuit from one house at RT 013/002.

There is no casualty reported in the incident, and the loss reaches millions of rupiah

Head of West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Hardisiswan disclosed that his side got fire report at around 8.15 AM. And then immediately sent 26 fire trucks to the scene.

"We send fire truck from Taman Sari, Tambora and Cengkareng areas. Thus far the firemen are still cooling down the fire location," he expressed, Monday (5/16).

He stated the firemen managed to put out the flames at around 10.30 AM. It took long time because fire burned a lot of home materials.

"There is no casualty reported in the incident, and the loss reaches millions of rupiah," he told.

Taman Sari Sub-district Head, Paris Limbong disclosed that fire burned 100 homes that spread in RT 08,10,11,12 and 13/RW 002, Krukut. Around 200 households or 800 people lost their homes.

"We're now preparing a post for them," he finished.
