West Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept held raid against public transport in intersection of Cengkareng. During the raid, the officer managed to raid tens of illegal taxis or locally known as omprengan and bajajs.

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept Head, A Banjarnahor disclosed that the raid is conducted to follow up public complaint. They complain many public transports stop and pick up passengers haphazardly in intersection of Cengkareng. Surely it causes traffic jam.

"We've installed a banner that saying prohibited to stop here, but it is ignored. That's why we control them," he asserted, Tuesday (5/17).

During the raid, as many as 3 public minivans, 3 bajajs and 3 illegal taxis then brought to Rawa Buaya Pool. Those will be sanctioned under tow sanction due to stop haphazardly and does not have license.

"20 public minivans and illegal taxis are ticketed. Similar raid will be intensified to other places," he finished.
