City to Build 9 Flyovers and Underpasses This Year

Jakarta Provincial Government will construct nine flyovers and underpasses this year. Mostly the flyovers will be constructed at railway crossing. It is hoped the accident involving trains could be minimized.

“Flyover and underpass will be constructed this year, just like in Permata Hijau,” said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, Friday (5/20).
According to him, flyover and underpass will smooth the traffic line.
Lebak Bulus Underpass Started to Repair“I need to minimize stop timing at traffic light. Flyover and underpass could be the answer,” he added.
Yusmada Faizal, Jakarta Head Dept. of Bina Marga, explained the constructions are at Bintaro Permai, Cipinang Lontar, and Jalan Panjang.
“This effort is also supporting train trip to be smoother,” he explained.
Other locations are Jembatan Tiga, Pancoran, Mampang-Kuningan, Matraman and Salemba, Kartini, and Santa.
