Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama gets 2016 Indonesia Green Awards for ‘The Most Inspiring’ category. The award is given because of his achievement adding public open space.

“The green open space is good looking and being added. If the citizens are happy, then the governor should get this award,” said La Tofi, Indonesia Green Awards founder, Saturday (5/20).

An appreciative statement is also written on the trophy.

‘The adding and managing of public open space in Jakarta is getting better in Governor Basuki T. Purnama period. Citizens are enthusiastic coming to city parks during weekend and holiday. It is hoped similar happiness could be felt by fishermen in norther Jakarta coast, when reclamation developers run their CSR properly’.

The award is also given to South Sumatera Governor Alex Noerdin, South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo, and Bima Mayor Qurais Abidin.
