Entering its 489th anniversary, Jakarta still focuses solving flood, traffic jam, and dense population problem. Those three big homework will not complete well without support from citizens.

“We can learn from Singapore for solving our problem,” said Sutanto Soehodho, Governor Deputy for Trading Industry and Transportation, Wednesday (6/1).
According to him, several ways have been prepared to solve those three main problems. The ways are implemented through programs such as flood handling by dredging river, reservoir, and constructing dike in northern Jakarta.

Jakarta Provincial Government also accelerates Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) as well as Light Trail Transit (LRT) as mass transportation.
“RPTRA is also added up to advance the dense population area living quality,” he closed.
