Jakarta Water Management Dept has set up handling steps for the collapsed dam on Jalan Pantai Mutiara 1, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. As planned, the dam will be fitted with sheet pile today, Saturday (6/4).

Jakarta Water Management Dept Head, Teguh Hendrawan said that the temporary emergency handling has been conducted, that is by installing a temporary dam using sand bags for holding water waves of the sea.

"We plan to install sheet pile on the collapsed dam today," he stated.

He continued the sea levels caused erosion at the bottom of the bridge and collapsed dam at around 8.30 PM yesterday. It is estimated, the collapse reaches a length of 50 meters.

Nevertheless, he assured it did not damage an official house belongs to Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama that is located close to the scene.

"Until now, Mr. Governor's house is still safe from inundation," he closed.
