"... so they can run their business sustainably,"
The activity, initiated by the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) in Jakarta, was held through a webinar titled Selayar Jakarta.
30 Jakpreneurs Enliven the MSME Bazaar in Pasar ReboJakarta BBPOM Head Sofiyani Chandrawati Anwar said the support is part of efforts to build a healthy, regulation-compliant food business ecosystem oriented toward consumer protection.
"We aim to strengthen business actors' understanding so they can run their business sustainably, in accordance with prevailing food safety and licensing regulations," Sofiyani confirmed in a written statement.
According to her, Jakpreneur has significant potential to grow and expand into wider markets.
"This can be achieved if they are equipped with proper regulatory understanding from the early stages to product distribution," she noted.
During the webinar, participants received practical guidance tailored to the needs of MSMEs, including mentoring programs and mechanisms for food business assistance.
"They were also guided through the stages of applying for distribution permits and meeting processed food safety and quality standards," she added.
Through this program, she expressed hope that it would boost Jakpreneurs' confidence in applying for distribution permits and improving product quality.
"We hope Jakpreneurs will be able to compete legally and sustainably," she shared.
