Inundation on Jalan DI Panjaitan Handled Well

Heavy rain this morning caused flooding approximately 30-50 centimeters deep on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Cempedak Urban Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta. To expedite the handling, two floating pumps were deployed to the location.

Head of Jatinegara District's Water Resources Unit, Meta Pradoningrum said a total of 10 Blue Troop personnel, two floating pump units, one Atlas Copco MP 19 pump unit, and one KSB 300 pump unit were deployed to deal with the flooding.

"Inundation began around 8:15 AM during heavy rain. However, by 9:30 AM, the water had gradually receded," he said, Thursday (2/19).

Meta explained that during the rainy season, personnel preparedness continues to be increased, especially in areas prone to flooding.

"We will move quickly to address any flooding that occurs so that it recedes quickly and does not disrupt residents' mobility," she explained.

Head of Cipinang Cempedak Urban Village, Rico Eka Putra Rifai said his side deployed eight Orange personnel to assist the handling.

"They cleaned up trash that clogs drains and helps arrange traffic," he said.
