Pinang Kalijati Retaining Wall Improvement to Complete March

The improvement of connecting channel of Pinang Kalijati on Jalan Margasatwa Raya, RT 10/02, Pondok Labu Urban Village, Cilandak District, South Jakarta is being accelerated. The work is targeted for completion in early March.

Head of Cilandak Water Resource Unit, Yansori said the retaining wall collapsed during heavy rain which caused the water flow in the channel to increase.
"Improvement is carried out on a 10-meter-long retaining wall, each 1.5 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. We deployed five Blue Troop personnel," he said on Thursday (2/26).

"Hopefully the work can be completed on time with favorable weather conditions," he hoped.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Ahmad Alfiandi appreciated the quick response of Cilandak Water Resource Unit in handling the eroded retaining wall.
"Hopefully in the future there will be no more similar landslides and all retaining walls will remain in a solid condition," he hoped.
