Masyarakat Diminta Jaga Lingkungan dari Potensi Tawuran

Residents are being called upon to collectively safeguard their neighborhoods during Ramadan to prevent potential youth brawls.

"Jakarta tetap kondusif"

East Jakarta Vice Mayor Kusmanto emphasized that the active participation of community and religious leaders is paramount in assisting authorities to maintain public order, particularly throughout the fasting period.

"We hope to see an absence of friction among the youth that could escalate into street fights during this sacred month. Hence, every resident must play a part in monitoring their own surroundings," he stated, Friday (2/27).

He further called upon sub-district heads, urban village heads, military precinct commanders (Danramil), and local police chiefs to consistently ramp up surveillance and fortify security within their respective jurisdictions. This proactive stance is intended to nip potential brawls in the bud.

He noted that these security measures are bolstered by the presence of the ‘Jaga Jakarta’ Integrated Command Posts, which have been strategically established across all ten districts in East Jakarta.

"I hope Jakarta remains serene throughout Ramadan and beyond. Let us collectively uphold the spirit of interfaith harmony," he concluded.
