Market Operation Starts from Early Ramadan

The price of nine staple foods during Ramadan has increased. Jakarta Provincial Government responds the matter by holding market operation during fasting month.
Friday to Sunday, the operation is held at 120 markets
Jakarta Head Dept. of Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Tenacity (KPKP), Darjamuni said his side will start the market operation from Monday to Thursday at 27 traditional markets.
“Friday to Sunday, the operation is held at 120 markets,” he said, Monday (6/6).

North Jakarta are Sunter Podomoro and Rawa Badak. East Jakarta are Jatinegara, Klender, and Cibubur. South Jakarta are Lenteng Agung, Pasar Minggu, and Mayestik.
City administration has prepared 250 tons of frozen beef, 40 tons from PD Dharma Jaya and 1,270 cows.
“We also have stock 500 cows in Cakung. Our stock is enough up to Eid ul Fitr,” he added.
