"A total of 171 people chose the one-way departure service, while 338 others registered for the round-trip service," he said, Friday (3/6).

Rudi explained that 20 destination cities have been identified from the three registration clusters. Solo was the most popular destination with 50 passengers, followed by Wonogiri with 49 passengers, Palembang with 44 passengers, and Semarang with 43 passengers.

In addition, other cities such as Yogyakarta, Pekalongan, and Purwokerto also recorded quite high seat occupancy rates.

"In addition to serving passengers, we also facilitated the delivery of five motorbikes belonging to travelers to support their mobility while in their hometowns," he added.

"The motorcycle and passenger departures are scheduled for March 16 and 17. Hopefully, all activities will run smoothly and that participants will maintain their health before their departure," he hoped.

Sub-agency's Head Section of Road Transportation, Sulistiyono Widodo stated registration for the free homecoming program was open online from February 22 to March 2, 2026, at Mudikgratis.jakarta.go.id. Data verification will take place from February 25 to March 5, 2026.

He emphasized that this program is also a government step to ease the economic burden on the community while reducing the use of private vehicles, especially motorbikes, which have a higher risk of accidents on the highway.

"We hope that through this program, public transportation services can continue to improve and become a more humane solution for Jakarta residents," he stated.
