5,539 Homebound Travelers Depart from Kalideres Terminal

From Friday (3/13) to Sunday (3/15), Kalideres Terminal in West Jakarta saw 5,539 travelers depart for their hometowns.

We anticipate another surge in traveler volume this coming March 18

Terminal Head Nur Prasetyo estimated that the past weekend was the peak of Idulfitri 1447 Hijri homecoming period.

According to him, this year's peak volume declined compared to the previous year.

Travelers Departing from Lebak Bulus Terminal Starting to Increase

"Last year's peak lasted from D-7 to D-5 with 6,767 passengers," he noted, Monday (3/16).

During last weekend's three-day peak, most intercity travelers were bound for West Sumatra, South Sumatra, and East Java.

The highest surge occurred yesterday, Sunday (3/15), with 2,276 passengers on 153 buses.

On Saturday (3/14), the terminal recorded 1,779 passengers using 132 buses, while Friday (3/13) saw 1,484 passengers on 112 buses.

On the other hand, the terminal recorded 1,624 arrivals on 441 intercity buses from various provinces between last Friday and Sunday.

"We anticipate another surge in traveler volume this coming March 18," he stated.
