In this return rush, Sumatra passengers mostly arrive between 2 AM and 4 AM, while short-distance travelers from Central Java peak between 4 PM and 7 PM.
"We expect the return flow to peak this Friday, allowing travelers to rest over the weekend before resuming work on Monday," he explained.
Prasetyo urged travelers and AKAP bus operators to use the designated areas inside the terminal for arrivals and departures to prioritize safety.
"We have an Integrated Post on standby. I suggest picking up and dropping off passengers inside the terminal where security is tighter. If any unpleasant incidents happen, they can be reported much faster," he noted.
Ikhsan Wahid (42), an intercity traveler, chose to head back from Solo today to prepare for his return to work tomorrow.
"I traveled home three days before Eid. I think the break was enough, so I’m resting today to make sure I’m fit and ready for work tomorrow," he stated.
