A new playground in Sunter Jaya, North Jakarta, is bringing fresh energy to families in the area. Spanning 40 square meters, this facility in Tanjung Priok Sub-district is now a go-to spot for toddlers to play, learn, and interact in a space that prioritizes safety and comfort.
It’s very useful
Dian (29), a local resident, has personally experienced the advantages of the new playground. Often visiting RPTRA with her 3-year-old daughter, Fatimah, she views the playground as a closer and more practical option.
"It’s very useful, particularly for parents of toddlers. It’s a great addition to the RPTRA. The kids love it because it’s colorful and has a lot of variety," she expressed, Tuesday (3/31).

"I hope this is useful for everyone, particularly parents of toddlers. Hopefully, we can all join hands in maintaining this playground," she noted.
The similar sentiment came from Lia (38), a resident of RT 10/05, Sunter Jaya Urban Village. She considers the playground to be very helpful for parents who need to handle administrative matters at the urban village office while bringing their children along.
"It is excellent. This way, if we are processing paperwork and have our children with us, they won’t get bored. They can play safely and comfortably," she said.
Besides the playground, Lia also appreciated the presence of the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) center at the same location. She even plans to enroll her first child, Shakira (4), there.
"Once it opens, I plan to enroll my eldest child. I am confident that the school here is safe and reliable," she added.
Sunter Jaya Village Head Eka Persilian Yeluma stated that the playground was recently opened by North Jakarta PKK Chairperson Fida Hendra, alongside the new PAUD center. The facility features slides and educational play tools specifically designed for child development.
"This playground is equipped with various games that support a child's physical and cognitive growth," she noted.
He noted that the project was made possible through a partnership with McDonald’s CSR program. The village office pledged to keep the playground clean and safe for continued use.
"May this facility provide a safe and fun learning environment that fosters optimal physical, social, and emotional growth for our children," he stated.
