The additional market operation for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be held at 127 traditional markets. The effort is aimed to add the existing operation at 20 traditional markets.

Gatra Vaganza, PD Pasar Jaya’s Public Relation, said the additional market operation is started on 10 June. Staple foods to be sold are same with regular operation.

Beef Sold Out During Market OperationThe program is aimed to suppress the price which always skyrocketing during fasting month and ahead of Eid ul Fitr. By simplifying the distribution between producer and consumer, the price could be cheaper.
“Citizens need ahead of Eid ul Fitr is high. We need to help them,” he added.
PD Pasar Jaya has prepared rice by 914,400 kg, cooking oil 146,304 liter, wheat 45,720 kg, egg 301,752 kg, chunk 30,480 kg, chicken meat 45,720 kg, red onion 30,480 kg, and red chili 30,480 kg.
